Earlier, Samsung confirmed that the next stable One UI version – One UI 4.1.1 will be based on Android 12L. At the same time, the company is working to bring the major Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta to the Galaxy S22 series users by the end of next month.

As per the information, it looks like Samsung is testing a major software on the latest flagships Galaxy S22 Exynos models in Europe, which could be the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 or the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1.

Android 12L is developed by Google for large screen and foldable devices, however, the Pixel phones have also received it as a feature drop build. Samsung earlier confirmed that it will adopt the Android 12L, therefore, the upcoming foldables are likely coming with this mid-cycle version of Android, pre-installed.

Recently, Checkfirm has detected a test firmware for the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone on EUX CSC. This country-specific code itself confirms that the build is getting developed for the S22 series consumers using Exynos variants in Europe. To be added, the test firmware sports build number – S908BXXU22BVF6.

Further, Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable smartphones at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10, at the same time, the shipments will begin in late August. Similar to the last year, the new One UI generation will be rolled out to older phones about 2-3 weeks later.

Last year, Samsung didn’t bring the One UI 3.1.1 version to non-foldable Galaxy smartphones, so, the test firmware could also be the Android 13-based One UI 5. If it’s the major OS upgrade, the company is reportedly showcasing the first Beta by the end of July and Stable/Public version later this year.
