Qualcomm launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset

On May 20, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform alongside the premium Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It is said that the first-generation Snapdragon 7 will be commercially available in the second quarter of this year.

It is the first 7-series platform to support the seventh-generation Qualcomm AI engine. Face recognition detection accuracy has been improved by 25%, and it supports 360-degree face detection. Moreover, the Snapdragon 7 is also the first 7-series platform to support 200MP camera support.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip supports single-frame progressive HDR features and has significantly improved image quality. The Snapdragon 7 is the first 7-series platform that integrates the Snapdragon X62 5G modem and RF system conforming to the Release16 standard, with a maximum downlink rate of 4.4Gbps.
