One UI 4.1 update doesn’t bring Snapchat filters to Samsung Camera

Fun mode introduces Snapchat lens to Samsung Camera application on select phones in 2021 and 2022. UI 4.1 obviously includes a lot of new features, but Samsung is still an exclusive entertainment mode designed for mid-range gear.

Last year, the South Korean tech giant announced a partnership with Snapchat to bring AR lenses directly into the camera app on Galaxy devices. Snapchat filters are available in the Fun Mode tab of the Camera app but are limited to select models such as the Galaxy A52, A52s, A72, A53, and A73.

It’s worth mentioning that Samsung is offering the Fun Mode camera feature for various 2021 and 2022 mid-range Galaxy A smartphones. However, Galaxy flagships like the Galaxy S21, Note 20, and S20 do not even have access to Fun mode with the One UI 4.1 update.

The Fun mode of the Samsung Camera app allows Galaxy consumers to capture their funniest moments with new Snapchat lenses that are regularly updated. You can browse and try your favorites, capture their most beautiful looks, and share them with your friends.

For lovers of selfies, the Fun mode is a very useful feature as it brings all the popular AR-inspired AR filters into One UI Camera. In particular, consumers have told us that Fun mode is also available on the recently launched Galaxy F23 5G, which runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1.

As of now, I don’t know why Samsung is limiting Snapchat filter integration to some models. The company’s partnership with the social media platform reached another milestone this year with Instagram, and now you can use any lens on your smartphone via Snapchat.
