Check battery health using the Settings menu

You can check the battery level on any Android device by going to the Settings menu. However, it should be mentioned that depending on your Android build and version, the data and navigation options offered may change. Below is an overview of what you should do:

  1. Go to the Battery section of the Settings app on your phone.
  2. To view a list of the apps using the most power since the last charge, go to the Battery section, tap the three dots in the upper right corner, and select Battery Usage.
  3. If you want to force an app to close, tap on the app’s name and select the setting you need.

Using a dial code

Here’s how to check your Android phone’s battery information using the Phone app.

  1. Use the dial pad on your smartphone to enter *#*#4636#*#* in the Phone app.
  2. Look under “Battery Information” in the testing menu that appears to find information on the battery’s temperature and health as well as its charge level.

Note: If you don’t see the Battery information option, your Android mobile phone is not compatible with this secret dial code technology.
