Google may sell more Pixel 6a because of canceled Samsung Galaxy S22 FE

With the launch of the Galaxy S20 FE, Samsung confirmed to bring new Fan Editions of flagship lineups every year, while, it might not happen this time with the Galaxy S22 series, which could indirectly help Google sell more Pixel 6a smartphones in certain markets.

Two recently happened incidents in Samsung and Google are related to each other, as the former reportedly decided not to launch the FE variant of the Galaxy S22, and the latter officially launched the affordable model of the Pixel 6 series, called Pixel 6a.

Just a few days back, the US tech giant officially announced the new affordable Google Pixel 6a smartphone, which is available in more markets compared to the Pixel 6 series. This new phone offers competitive hardware and software specs that almost meet the requirements of consumers.

On the other side, the South Korean tech giant is pushing the Galaxy S22 Ultra sales due to its unique S Pen function and powerful camera functionalities. To keep the sizzling S22 Ultra sales, Samsung seems to be canceling the Galaxy S22 FE this year, however, the S23 series might still get the FE model next year.

Fan Edition

Samsung introduces the Fan Edition of its flagship smartphones with the same hardware and software support at affordable pricing. This helps the company to further enhance its growth throughout the industry as well as boost the reach among consumers in various parts of the world.

The Galaxy S20 FE is well known as a flagship killer of 2020, the Galaxy S21 FE sales didn’t amaze Samsung as it launched the Galaxy S22 series just a few weeks later. However, the company’s all focus is on foldable phones as before the next FE, it had already killed the Note series.

Google Pixel 6a

Google Pixel 6a is an affordable smartphone that costs $449 in the United States. It comes with Google’s self-developed first gen Tensor chip, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, 4,400mAh with 18W fast charging, a 12MP dual rear camera, and an 8MP selfie camera.

When it comes to software, the Pixel 6a is an outdated Google phone with an Android 12 operating system out of the box. It supports three years of major OS upgrades and five years of regular security patches, while Samsung offers striking support to its 2022 mid-rangers.
