At the I/O developer conference Google revealed that the second public beta for Android 13 can be downloaded and tested from today.

Major updates that Android 13 Beta 2 brought?

  • Battery widgets and tweaks are no longer available under “Settings Services”, and widgets now are a little bit stretched.
  • Made back gesture destinations more predictable.
  • Updates in display size and text tweaks.
  • Screen savers get more prominence in settings.
  • Newness in notification tweaks.

In Beta 1 Google has removed the Pixel Launcher search., and now its again back. Application search results can now be directly accessed from the home screen. Android 13 enables you to revoke the access to runtime permissions, now you feel the privacy enhancement and remove unused app permissions at the developer level.

Android 13 Beta 2 brings more predictive back gestures, Themed app icons, quick setting placement API, and better support for multilingual users. There are major updates in Privacy and Security, new runtime permissions for nearby Wi-Fi devices, new permissions to use exact alarms, access updates to photo pickers, and much more.
