Android 14 Update Tracker: Everything we know so far

On August 15, 2022, Google released the 13th generation of Android OS – Android 13. Firstly, the search giant rolled out this major update for Pixel devices and confirmed the release of this major version for Android devices including Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Realme among others. , Oppo, and later this year. Android 12 was released in 2021, Android 13 in 2022, and following tradition, Android 14 will be the major Android update for the year 2023. Satellite Connectivity 

The senior VP of Google Platforms & Ecosystem, Hiroshi Lockeimer revealed that the company has started working on connecting phones to satellites. It is expected that Google may introduce a satellite connectivity function through the major version update of Android 14 next year.

First Beta Update 

Some reports suggest that Google may start the Android 14 beta release in April 2023 and its Developers Preview may begin in February as the company has shortened the Android 13 QPR Beta.

Codename 

The information suggests that the codename of the Android 14 operating system is “Upside Down Cake”.  In an alphabetical manner, Google gives a dessert name to every new Android version.
